Affirmation: Faith blesses my day and paves my way.

Faith—The ability to believe, intuit and perceive.

The disciple Peter represents faith in things spiritual, faith in God.

The corresponding color is blue and the location is the center of the brain.

Awaken Your Faith Faculty
By Winifred Wilkinson Hausmann

Of all the faculties, the one Jesus spoke of most frequently was faith. … Have faith. Believe. Trust. Over and over, Jesus emphasized this first of our powers, and in one of his disciples, we watch the faculty develop.

Faith does not come all at once with a mighty thud. It must grow. It must be encouraged. It must be invited and then made welcome. As Simon, the crude fisherman, became Peter, the dedicated apostle, so the ability to trust God must grow in our lives.

Faith has been defined in many ways. The writer of Hebrews referred to it as “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Heb. 11:1). Understood in this light, faith is that quality in us which enables us to look past appearances of lack, limitation or difficulty, to take hold of the divine idea and believe in it, even though we do not see any evidence of it except in our minds. Through faith we know with an inner knowing the Truth that has not yet expressed itself in our manifest world. …

The location of the faith center is significant. It is in the center of the head, between the ears and the eyes. When we put our faith in that which we see with our eyes or hear with our ears, we are using the faculty in a limited way and the results will come accordingly.

However, we can center the faculty of faith on our inner vision and our inner hearing, developing this faculty through prayer to know the potential God has given us. And when we do, our results will express the higher realization of our spiritual nature. At its highest level, faith is directed by our spiritual nature, from the Christ center at the crown of the head. We determine the direction of our faith, and as we do, we determine the results that we will have in our lives. …

In developing the quality of faith, we must start as Peter did, by being receptive to Truth ideas and letting them grow in us until we can feel our absolute oneness with the quality of faith—feel in such a way that we no longer think in terms of having faith, but express it automatically, as Jesus did.

Twelve-Power Meditation Exercise on Faith

Sit quietly for a moment until you feel relaxed. Then focus your attention on the crown of the head (which represents the Christ center) and think a thought similar to this:

The Christ of God is quickened in me!

Next, move your center of attention to your forehead, often thought of as representing the conscious level of mind. Realize that you are consciously aware that the Christ of God is being quickened in you. Say or think:

I AM aware that the Christ of God is quickened in me.

Now move your center of attention to the solar plexus, which represents the subsconscious level of mind. In order to accept your awareness that the Christ of God is being deepened in you at the deepest level of your being affirm:

I AM grateful that the Christ of God is being quickened in me.

…Now let your center of attention travel to the middle of the head, the faith center, and softly affirm:

The Christ in me calls forth Peter, my disciple-faculty of Faith.

As you do this, visualize Jesus speaking the words, “According to your faith be it done unto you.”

Conclude by saying:

I AM Grateful!

Perfect First Power
"Faith" is such a relief! It requires a loosing and letting go of the worries attached to conditions and relaxing in the KNOWING that GodSpirit is working in and through the situation to bring about the best and highest good for all concerned - no matter what it looks like! Faith requires TRUST, which is hard for so many people. Remember the times when Divine Order worked in your life? It was almost effortless. When strengthening your faith, remember those times and recreate the feeling of TRUST you had within yourself then. Relax. Surrender to the freeing peace of KNOWING all is going to be well. Allow your steps to be guided by Spirit and follow through with action, for faith requires us to move forward in confidence. "Faith is the assurance of things HOPED for - the EVIDENCE of things NOT SEEN." This is where the manifestation exists before we see it with our eyes - Faith is the Evidence! What more do we need? Trust it! The Evidence is right here!! When you do this you will be so FREE and HAPPY! Blessings! (thank you for this program - I'll be back!) :)

Faith
Sometimes faith in the "big" things feels easier because I more easily recognize that mere human doings are powerless so I know that Spirit or Divine Power is my only choice. Yet with the smaller things the Divine Source connection sometimes gets misplaced with thoughts and trust in what I can DO instead of who I AM. So for me I feel that some life experiences automatically limit my thought options to the One Thought of God while other day-to-day activities increase my mind activity to include egoic sort of thinking that pulls power away from Divine Power. Faith
I have an abundance of experience using Faith when in a crisis. However, using Faith as a faculty to help me achieve is still relatively new for me. It is good to realize and recognize the fact that when striving to reach a goal, one can have sinking moments and it's great to know how to overcome them. Thank you for this article.
