The Planetary Initiation

Why is the awakening to a New World growing so rapidly today? One way to see it is that the planet itself is undergoing what might be called an initiation—a heightening of consciousness and awareness of a new purpose.

It seems as if new energy is pouring into Earth, raising the frequency of all life. The speed of our spiritual growth and the rhythm of our daily lives seem to be increasing. Have you noticed how busy and speedy everyone is today? Have you noticed how quickly change occurs, both personally and collectively on the world stage, like we've suddenly shifted into Star Trek warp speed? Scientific researchers are finding that the electromagnetic resonance of Earth, called the Schumann Resonance, has been increasing in recent years, but they are baffled at the cause.

Awaken to Divine Nature

Humanity is approaching the end of a long evolutionary cycle of matter and separateness, which was necessary for our growth as souls. We had to know ourselves as unique individuals and play out the devastating results of competing and fighting with people who are different from us.

Rather than seeing ourselves as exiles from the spiritual world who have fallen into the darkness of matter as a punishment, we should see that each of us as souls courageously volunteered to contribute to the evolution of this planet at this time.

Clothing ourselves in the denseness of matter, we became part of the involutionary cycle, entering physical bodies on Earth. We may feel like divers in heavy suits under thousands of pounds of pressure and forget for a time who we really are, but that is part of the process.

Although when born we identify ourselves as beings of flesh, emotions and thoughts, we all have a deeper sense that we are far more than this. The time has come in the involutionary/evolutionary cycle for us to awaken to our divine nature and the profound destiny that awaits us. We are inextricably one with the life flowing though the mineral, plant and animal kingdoms, and the life in the sea of stars and countless universes.

Age of Synthesis

Metaphysical teachers say that a new ray of life, or flow of energy, is impacting our earth today, bringing a new rhythm and practical order into the material world. Spirit is radiating through matter, overcoming separation and differences. A new purpose is being realized, and a new note is being sounded: the note of synthesis. There is much fusing, blending and coming together in every arena. …

… You may say, “This sounds too positive. It's hard to accept. I want to live in a better world, but people with great political and financial power are abusing it and taking us rapidly toward disaster. So many things seem to be getting worse day by day!”

To this, I say: Abuse of power, war, poverty, environmental destruction and obsessive consumerism are simply the darkness before the dawn. They are magnified by the media's focus on them and its neglect of positive stories about the New World emerging all around us.

Everything unfolds in cycles, and none of this will stand for long. As Gandhi said, “Whenever I despair, I remember that the way to truth and love has always won. There may be tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they may seem invincible, but in the end, they always fail. Think of it—always.”
