Can you imagine what exploring outer space is like? I believe we each have an “inner space” that is as vast and unexplored as the great sky above us. This inner space is endless, timeless and boundless.

This month we explore the Power of Will. I must admit that this power may take me a few lifetimes to fully embrace. I have tripped and sputtered over the words “thy will, not my will” since I began my spiritual exploration many years ago. I've often wondered why it is so hard to let go of my own personal, intellectual will.

As I mature and grow, I see that spiritual will is a willingness to let go and let God guide me. My life works when I allow the flow of Spirit to move in and through me. It is when I'm operating from the limitations of my personal and intellectual will that my life feels disjointed or off track.

The Power of Will is closely connected to the Power of Understanding. The two powers support each other and can assist me in making decisions and taking actions beyond the desires of my human intellect. Spiritual understanding allows me to see the true nature of every situation. The Power of Will is the great permission-giver of consciousness; it moves all of the other Powers into action.

This month, I invite you to explore balancing your head and your heart. How can you let go and let spiritual will lead your life? Begin by trusting the mighty and graceful flow of Spirit. Know that spiritual will is always seeking the good in every situation.
