The Unity movement began with a few people who were deeply, passionately inspired to empower others to live abundant and meaningful lives. Today you can be part of a similar initiative. The 1910 Society is a dedicated group of individuals and organizations helping educate tomorrow's spiritual leaders and helping nurture and grow the Unity movement.
Shaping Unity's Future Leaders
Through an annual donation of $5,000 (individuals and churches) or $7,500 (for a couple), 1910 Society members support:
- Spiritual Education and Enrichment (SEE) programs—helping thousands of students attend classes at Unity churches, at Unity Village and online.
- Unity Library and Archives—making our extensive and growing collection of Unity and New Thought materials accessible to writers, ministers, teachers and the general public, and also preserving these materials for future generations.
- Ministry and Religious Studies program—preparing our future ministers for the blessings and challenges of ministry, and supporting our goal of becoming an accredited seminary—a first in the New Thought movement!
1910 Society Retreat
Each Spring, Unity will honor 1910 Society members with an exclusive personalized Unity Village Retreat. Your experience will include time with key Unity ministers, leaders and influencers, as well as a behind-the-scenes tour of what's happening at Unity—including previews of what's next in our ongoing evolution.
The 2012 retreat, April 13–15, will feature Unity President and CEO Dr. Charlotte Shelton, Unity Institute and Seminary Dean Theodore Collins, and Matthew Fox, Lyceum 2012 Keynote speaker. 1910 Society members will be our guests at the closing session of Lyceum 2012: The Church in the Future.
Guests will enjoy complimentary lodging at the Unity Village Hotel and Conference Center plus fine dining prepared under the direction of Unity Inn Chef Michael Willet. (Transportation to and from Unity Village not included in retreat package.)
