PASSAGE: "Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I go away the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you" (John 16:7).
QUESTION: Considering Christ Consciousness is in everyone, why is Jesus, who realized his Christ Consciousness, saying that he has to go so that the Holy Spirit may come? In Yoga and in the Mystery Schools there are/were Masters who awoke/awake the Ruach Kadosh, the Kundalini, Holy Spirit while being physically present. Give me the metaphysical interpretation. Or Jesus was considering that the apostles were too attached to the form Jesus instead of being surrendered to his Essence?
COMMENT: I think the final sentence of your question contains the answer. It seems very clear to me—especially in the Gospel of John—that Jesus came to realize that so long as he remained with them, the disciples would continue to rely on his Christ expression instead of taking the next step forward of finding the same Power in themselves. I think the precise moment of this realization may be seen in Jesus standing before the tomb of Lazarus, as he hears those he loves dearly saying that Lazarus might have lived if Jesus had been present. He realizes, I think, that much as he loves them, he'll have to leave if they are ever to find their own empowerment. Which leads to the shortest verse in the Bible: "Jesus wept."
