One of Kansas City's most respected pianists, church music director and piano teacher shares his skills in a class setting. The class is in three parts and is focused on all levels, styles and specific areas determined by the group. Fred is Music Director at Unity Church of Overland Park, Kansas for twelve years.

Going beyond your first chords - learning more ways to play simple chords and options for adding interest to your performance. Beginners

Keyboard Musicianship for Guitar—(Fri)
Learn a visualization system for the neck of the guitar that will greatly increase your musical expression. Intermediate to advanced.

Unity World Orchestra—David Ezell (Wed, Thur, Fri)
Be a part of this new Sound Connections tradition. Intended to foster the use of band and orchestral instruments in your church and to be a vehicle where musicians from all over the world join talents under the banner of peace to create beautiful music together. Daily rehearsals and performance at conference banquet will be required.

Unity World Chorus—Carole Tomhave (Wed, Thur, Fri)
Last year marked the debut of the Unity World Chorus, to rave reviews—join us this year! In this workshop, we will learn sound rehearsal techniques in actual rehearsal while we prepare several choral pieces to perform in conjunction with the Unity World Orchestra at the Friday night banquet.

Greet the Day—Music Ministry Team
Get your day started with joy and singing and hear the latest and best group/chant songs led by members of the Music Team and presenters. We then read the Daily Word for that day and have a short prayer time together. The day's announcements and schedule changes are also made at this time.

Song Circles
Structured sharing of original songs and talent in intimate circles of eight to ten people. You must stay for a full round before moving to another circle. Do not join in unless invited. Each circle has a facilitator to guide the group and keep the guidelines.

Silent Spirit Sharing—Hosted by Fred Bogert [LINK TO MUSIC MINISTRY TEAM]
Sound Connections' amazing talent show where we let the music speak for itself. All participants are asked to simply approach the microphone and begin their song without speaking or further introduction. This gives the evening a more sacred feel and makes time for everyone to participate.
