Our annual business meeting took place Wednesday, June 9, 2010, resulting in a number of exciting decisions:

Chuck Pettis, our consultant for the identity project, presented the results of the branding research. The room was electrified by this presentation and voted unanimously to move forward with branding and to adopt a new dba (doing business as) name for our Association: Unity Worldwide Ministries.

The Credentialed Leader/Ministry Review System (CLMRS) Review Task Team made a report on progress, with a Q&A session later in the afternoon. After the Q&A, there was a standing ovation. Look for more details in Contact magazine and a mailing later in July.

The identity project is developing right now, with plans to make it available to our ministries starting this fall. It is an entirely voluntary initiative for ministries.

Ross Campbell, Angela Denton and Diane Venzera were elected to the Board of Trustees.

The Leadership Recruitment and Development Team has the following new members:

• Robert Fortner, minister
• Carol Shultz, licensed teacher
• Sharon Connors, former board trustee
• Sarah Cox and Forest Jones, lay members

In July, we will send every ministry a copy of our business meeting booklet with informative articles and information, along with a DVD of Chuck Pettis' presentation.
